The First Hill light rail project will add 2.5 miles to Seattle’s tram network, connecting the city’s iconic Capitol Hill and Pioneer Square districts.

Construction began in April last year. Now nine months into the project, the partnership behind the extension have released a time-lapse video showing the completion of a section of the new line at the Madison Intersection.

The $134 million link will open 10 new stations in the city once it is complete in 2014.
