A Bombardier-led consortium has been awarded a contract for the construction and upgrade of signalling and infrastructure systems in Latvia.
Along with Belam Riga, Bombardier will install its INTERFLO 200 system on a section of Latvian Railways’ Bolderaja – Zasulauks line, which connects the capital city Riga with the Boldoraja and Riga harbour area.
The contract is valued at 13.6 million euros – 5.3 million euros of which will go to Bombardier.
Peter Cedervall, president of rail control solutions at Bombardier Transportation, said: “Our reputation in the market as a responsive partner and our competitive price has secured this project, and reflects the trust the customer has in our solutions and the strong relationship we have built in this market.”
