French and Belgian Paralympic athletes have been arriving at St Pancras ahead of tonight’s opening ceremony.

The athletes were greeted by former British Paralympic 800m sprinter Danny Crates, who won gold in Athens in 2004. There was also a performance by The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf and Hearing Children.

Two Eurostar trains have undergone a series of unique modifications in preparation for the Games, allowing the Paralympians to travel as a team for the first time.
