Moscow Metro has inked a contract with Transmashholding subsidiary Metrovagonmash to maintain the network’s fleet of 81-760/761 trains for the next 30 years.
The contract, which covers 29 trains currently operating on the metro’s Kalinin line, will require Metrovagonmash to carry out ‘maintenance and routine repairs’ at the system’s Novogireevo depot.
The agreement will cover the entire life cycle of the metro cars, which entered service last year.
