Israel Railways has named Bombardier as the winner of a tender to supply 62 new electric locomotives.
The contract, which includes an option for 32 more units, is part of Israel’s extensive rail electrification programme.
According to reports, Bombardier beat Alstom and the Chinese manufacturers CSR and CNR.
