The mayor of Freiburg has unveiled the city’s new CAF Urbos trams.
On July 16, a group of special guests were the first to travel on Freiburg’s new Urbos 100 low-floor trams.
The Freiburg contract is CAF’s first ever order in Germany.
Freiburg’s public transport operator, VAG, currently has six of the 12 seven-car trams ordered from CAF in 2013. The remaining six vehicles will be delivered in 2017.
VAG will begin operating passenger services with its new trams on July 27.
