OHL to build Follo Line Ski station

Spain’s Obrascon Huarte Lain (OHL) is to build a new station in Ski – the company’s first contract in Norway.

The station, which will have six tracks and three central platforms, is part of the Follo Line project – a new intercity line between Oslo and Ski.

It is the third of six major contracts to be awarded for the construction of the 22-kilometre, double-track railway.

A signing ceremony will be held in early August, subject to any challenges, and work will start straight away.

The contract includes the approach between Langhus and Ski, the signalling infrastructure and an upgrade of the existing Østfoldbanen, which runs between Oslo and Kornsjø.

OHL will also demolish the current Nordbyveien bridge and install a larger structure.
