In Lower Manhattan, MTA are spending $1.4 billion building a new subway station. But rather than dark and drab, the Fulton Center’s bright domed concourse tapers upwards to an oculus inspired by the architects of ancient Rome.
Construction is underway and passengers will get their first glimpse of the amazing structure in just under a year’s time.
