The first C2 metro train has been presented by Siemens and operator MVG in Munich.

Siemens is building 21 six-car trainsets for Munich’s metro operator, with the remaining 20 trains expected to arrive by 2015.

The new fleet has been described as the biggest single rolling stock order in the history of the city’s urban rail system.

Last year, the C2 was awarded the prestigious ‘Red Dot Award’ during the annual Designers Night in Essen.
