€90m Brazil tram contract for Vossloh

São Paulo’s transport authority has awarded a contract for 22 trams from Vossloh and Brazilian firm T’TRANS worth 90 million euros.

The bi-directional trams, which will be delivered between 2014 and 2015, will be designed at Vossloh’s Valencia plant and manufactured alongside T’TRANS.

The vehicles have a capacity for 400 passengers and can be operated at a speed of up to 70 km/h.
