More than 1.6million passengers who travel through the Swansea station every year are set to benefit from an improved travel experience thanks to a major refurbishment currently taking place. Arriva Trains Wales and the Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones have planned an event for the public to hear about how the station will look upon completion of the upgrade as well as information on what new features are being introduced and progress made to date. The talk will take place on January 20th 2011 at the station.

This project is part of the Department for Transport’s National Station Improvement Programme, which is jointly led by Arriva Trains Wales, Network Rail and the Welsh Assembly Government.
