Safety buzzer in hard hat for rail workers

Listen to this article

A new safety system has been launched to warn workers about the dangers of getting too near heavy plant equipment.

The MyZone system means a buzzer will sound in a worker’s hard hat should they get too near dangerous equipment.

Contractors such as BAM Nuttall, Laing O’Rourke and Skanska are now using the MyZone system.

The system is also reportedly being trialled by Network Rail, Amey, Balfour Beatty and Carillion in the rail sector.
