Listen to this article

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded two civil contracts worth S$526 million covering the construction of two Thompson Line stations.

Woodlands North and Napier stations, for which work is expected to start on at the beginning of next year, will be built by Penta-Ocean Construction and Sinohydro Corporation respectively.

The fully-automated Thompson Line will be entirely underground, running from north to south beneath the city.

Woodlands North and Napier stations are expected to be completed by 2019 and 2021 respectively.
