Mülheimer Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG) has commissioned the first of a new fleet of low-floor Bombardier Flexity City trams.

MVG has to date received six of 15 new NF2 light rail vehicles ordered from Bombardier, with the first going into passenger service in July.

The trams have been manufactured in Bautzen with bogies from Siegen and electrical systems supplied from Mannheim.

Mayoress Dagmar Mühlenfeld attended a ceremony at an MVG depot on August 14 to officially launch the new vehicles.
