Stockholm’s public transport operator, SL, has awarded Eltel the maintenance contract for the city’s Lidingöbanan and Spårväg City light rail lines.
Eltel will provide preventive and corrective infrastructure maintenance services on the network from the start of 2016 to the end of 2021, covering the track, overhead wires and signalling systems.
Eltel was awarded its first contract by SL in 2005 for the maintenance of telecommunications systems. This year, the company will complete a two-year project to upgrade the Lidingöbanan.
