DB Regio to run new Frankfurt-Würzburg service

DB Regio has been awarded a 12-year contract to operate a new hourly service between Frankfurt, Aschaffenburg and Würzburg.

The Bavarian Railway Company (SAC) and the Rhine-Main Transport Association (RMV) named DB Regio as the successful bidder, having launched the invitation to tender in June 2012.

The new contract will commence in December 2015.
