Colas Rail has signed a five-year contract with Total UK to transport bitumen from the Lindsey Oil Refinery to Total UK’s Preston production plant.
The service was scheduled to begin this month.
Stephen Haynes, managing director of Colas Rail Services, said: “We are delighted that Total has awarded us this rail freight haulage contract.
“Colas Rail Freight is committed to providing a safe, high quality service to Total in a collaborative approach.”
