Bombardier has revealed artist impressions of the Innovia Metro 300 train that it will be supplying to Riyadh.
The Canadian multinational is building 47 two-car trains for Line 3 (Orange) of the $22.5 billion project as a member of the ArRiyadh New Mobility Consortium (ANM).
Alstom, Bombardier and Siemens are all supplying vehicles for the ambitious project which is looking to deliver six new lines, totalling 176 kilometres, by 2018.
The Innovia Metro 300 design was presented to Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh and chairman of the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).
Equipped with double-leaf doors and walk-through gangways, the new trains will feature family-only and single-only carriages.
