ADIF tenders for €342m telecoms contract

Spain’s infrastructure manager ADIF has issued a €342 million tender for the maintenance and replacement of telecommunications equipment on major rail corridors throughout the country.

The contract, which is split into two parts, covers all fixed telecommunications equipment and GSM-R systems, as well as remote power control and remote sensors across the high-speed rail network.

The €342 million is split into a 10-year €288 million maintenance deal, running from 2015 to 2024, and a secondary €55 million renewals framework agreement.
