Tom Kelly, ex BBC journalist, Prime Minister’s spokesman, communications director for BAA and current communications director for the Financial Services Authority, is to join Network Rail.
Announcing the news, David Higgins, chief executive, said:
“Tom has a wealth of experience in the field of communications that will be invaluable as Network Rail continues its massive programme of change.”
Mr Kelly added: “I will be joining Network Rail at a time when the company needs to communicate better than ever with its customers, the wider public, its people and government.
“I hope to play my part in helping the company evolve into its new form.”
