Rail worker killed by train in Lincolnshire

A rail worker has been killed after being struck by a train in Lincolnshire.

The man, believed to be 26 and from Doncaster, was struck by the 11.19 Scunthorpe to Lincoln service about half a mile from Saxilby station, Lincolnshire.

The incident was reported to BTP at 1.55pm on Tuesday, December 4.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “Our thoughts are with the family and we’re investigating the incident.”

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch and Office of Rail Regulation has been informed.
