Nencki AG WOR-Rail, a division of Worlifts Limited will be at Railtex this week displaying their latest products.

It is the sole UK distributor and authorised service agent for rail products from Nencki – a world-leading manufacturer of bogie test stands.

Its product range includes machines for testing EMUs as well as two and three-axle locomotive bogies.

The test stand is computer-controlled and available with features including wheel load, wheel shoulder, diameter and run-out, as well as calculation of shim plates, leakage test of the air bolster and tests in combination with tilting and radial technologies.

The company offers solutions for helical, metal-rubber and leaf springs together with the testing of complete primary suspensions.

Its machines can be used in the testing of axial and transverse stiffness, bowing angle and distance, along with other spring-specific test parameters.

Wheel weighing facility

Safety against derailment is a primary concern for rolling stock manufacturers and rail operators alike. Nencki’s wheel weighing facility allows the measurement of individual wheel loads and the unloading that occurs in twisted track derailment scenarios.

The test, in accordance with EN 14363, is fully automatic and takes less than 30 minutes.

Nencki is able to provide a complete welding factory or individual machines for long welded rails.

As well as weld test presses, the range includes machines for rail-end brushing, flash-butt welding, four-way straightening and rail profile grinding.

There are also conveyors for the rails and main line control in order to connect all machinery to a complete line. The company also provides mobile straightening presses for rails and switch tongue profiles.

All the products are manufactured in Switzerland. The company has mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and software engineering departments with skilled staff, in addition to manufacturing facilities for machining, welding and assembly.

All are supported by an international after-sales service organisation. Nencki, which has regional offices worldwide, operates in accordance with international standards such as ISO 9001. Service contracts are available from WOR-Rail.

WOR-Rail can be found on stand E60 at Railtex this week.
