Following earlier speculation, London Midland and ASLEF have now confirmed they have reached an agreement on the way forward on drivers’ terms and conditions.

London Midland’s Operations & Safety Director, Wallace Weatherill said:

“We are really pleased at the progress made in the talks over the past few days. This is good news for our passengers and staff and we will now renew our focus on delivering a reliable train service.

“We are sorry for the disruption our passengers have suffered and thank them for their patience.”

London Midland is now working to restore normal services, but advises passengers to expect some further disruption whilst trains are re-planned.

They aim to run a normal service from Sunday (April 17) but details of any alterations will be available on our website from Friday.
