Listen to this article

The National Railway Company of Belgium has awarded Hoeft & Wessel a contract to supply stationary ticket vending machines.

The ticketing systems specialist will deliver TVMs of its almex.station series to Belgian Railways (SNCB – Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Belges).

The company did not disclose the value of the contract.

The scope of delivery comprises the effective back-office system ‘almex.office’, the ticketing application within the TVMs, full integration in the SNCB system world as well as the integration of the future Belgian MOBIB e-Ticketing system with contactless smart cards.

The ticket vending machines will replace the existing ‘aged’ machines of SNCB.
