Successes in Australia for HOCHTIEF subsidiary

Listen to this article

Via its subsidiary Leighton, HOCHTIEF has scored successes worth more than €413.2 million in the Australian market.

Thiess was awarded a transportation infrastructure contract in South East Queensland for roughly €208.8 million.

Under the contract, the Leighton company will build, among others, two stations and a 900-meter-long railway viaduct.

With this project, HOCHTIEF makes a contribution to the region’s sustainable and intelligent traffic concept: The new railway network will provide significant relief to the local highway from 2013.

With the contract, HOCHTIEF also steps up its engagement in the area of mobility, one of the Group’s strategic growth fields, on the fifth continent, too.
