Colourful new artwork installed at Levenshulme station in Greater Manchester celebrates the heritage and architecture of the area.

The images depict the popular Antiques Village, the Fallowfield Loop, a former railway line now popular walking and cycle path, as well as nearby Cringle and Green Bank parks.

Created by local artist Eamonn Murphy, the new display was funded by Northern and the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership.

Craig Harrop, regional director at Northern, said: “The artwork looks absolutely fantastic.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, which is why we encourage and support projects like this on our stations.

“As well as welcoming passengers to the station, this work also celebrates the heritage of Levenshulme and I would like to thank everyone involved in this project.”
