Prōject (EU) awarded Analytics to Azure migration contract by Network Rail.

Contract to extend Network Rail Regions reporting function.

Network Rail has awarded their latest analytics contract to Prōject (EU). This is the fourth phase of work involving the migration of Oracle Business Intelligence reporting to the Azure cloud, extending the availability of data and increasing self-service capability.

The project uses the team’s expertise in newer technologies such as Power BI, Azure Analytics Services, Data Factory and Databricks as well as their long developed experience of the Oracle platform and WhereScape applications to develop a data platform that is ready for the Network Rail Regions to build or extend their reporting functions.

“This phase of the contract is particularly important.” Marc McGurk, Director at Prōject (EU) said. “It builds on the previous work that created a core reporting environment for project managers to senior management, built an integrated data backbone and then migrated to the new Azure/Power BI platform. We’re now looking to help provide an enterprise data service across the regions that has a modern look and feel and can expand quickly as new requirements come in.”
