‘Deck the Halls’: Network Rail to host Christmas charity concert in support of RBF

On Monday 18 December, the London Transport choir will be serenade London Bridge station with heart-warming Christmas carols, alongside the majestic sound of the church organ to help raise money for the (RBF).

The event will start at 6.00pm with light refreshments also being served and the money raised will support Railway Benefit Fund (RBF).

The church organ, which is based at the heart of London Bridge station (affectionately known as Henry), was donated to the station by charity Pipe Up – a charity that rescues organs from abandoned churches and restores them.

Cem Davis, Network Rail’s London Bridge station manager, said: “We love working with charities to raise money for good causes and I’m really pleased that we’re hosting this specific event to raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund and making use of the much beloved organ which was rehomed at the heart of the station last year.”

Jo Kaye, Railway Benefit Fund’s CEO, commented: ““We are delighted that Network Rail are hosting this festive event at London Bridge to support RBF. At this time of year especially, many railway families are really struggling.

“It’s fundraising support like this that can make a real difference to railway people and their children this Christmas. We hope you can come along and support us and look forward to seeing you there.”
