Northern, alongside British Transport Police (BTP) and Network Rail, has supported the creation of a short film to highlight the types of activity that are unacceptable.
It includes: cat calling, staring, up-skirting, cyber flashing, exposing, touching and pressing.

Kerry Peters, regional director for Northern, said: “Unwanted sexual behaviour can happen anywhere and people need to feel empowered to report it.
“Like all public areas, the railway is not immune to this behaviour – which is why we wanted to support the students with this project.”
In July, BTP relaunched its ‘Railway Guardian’ app, an all-in-one safety app that allows users to report crimes or concerns on the rail network, share journeys with trusted contacts and get access to news, guides and support.
Peters added: “We need to look out for one another and the ‘Railway Guardian’ app helps get information about ‘unwanted sexual behaviour’ to the police quickly and simply.”
BTP’s ‘Railway Guardian’ app is available to download from Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Anyone with information about any crime on the railway can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
