Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is to issue the tender for the construction of phase two of its M7 metro line later this month.

The authority said it planned to invite bids for the final 6.5-kilometre segment between Kabataş and Mecidiyeköy in January.

Ground was broken on line M7 last year. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality says the first phase of the line will be completed by the end of 2017 and the Kabataş-Mecidiyeköy section by the end of 2018.
