Turkish State Railways (TCDD) has awarded Alstom a €2.5 million contract to overhaul five high-speed trainsets.

The trains, which were manufactured by CAF, operate on the high-speed corridors between Ankara-Istanbul and Ankara-Konya.

Alstom has already overhauled five other trains, which entered service in November 2012.

The work will be carried out at a TCDD depot in Ankara over a 12-month period.
