Gallery: BTP takes on fake protesters in public disorder drills

BTP officers wearing boiler suits and pig masks invaded the disused Waterloo International station to put the force’s policing to the test.

The training day brought together 60 officers from across BTP’s public order units.

BTP said that it staged a fake animal rights protest to see how constables managed large crowds and to examine the issue of appropriate force – in light of the review by HMIC into the G20 protests in 2009.
