Spanish infrastructure manager Adif has completed the main construction work on the Arnoia viaduct along the Madrid-Galicia high-speed rail line.

The viaduct, which lies in the Zamora-Ourense section of the route, stretches for just over a kilometre over the Arnoia river.

The subsection Miamán-Ponte Ambía of the Madrid-Galicia line, which integrates the viaduct, has 6.7 km of double track length, and runs entirely through the town of Baños de Molgas, in the province of Ourense.

The Madrid-Galicia line is being co-financed by the European Regional Development Fun (ERDF), with funding of over 200 million euros, and includes the construction of the 852m long Bouzas tunnel.
