Infrarail seminars: Making London’s railways fit for the challenge of major growth

On Wednesday 2 May at 10:30, Howard Smith, Chief Operating Officer at London Rail will be presenting ‘Making London’s railways fit for the challenge of major growth’.

In this keynote speech, London Rail’s chief operating officer Howard Smith with talk about the £2.8bn upgrading of the Light Rail and Overground rail networks ready for London 2012.

There is also a major challenge beyond the summer as London continues to grow, depending ever more on a complex and reliable rail infrastructure.

The next decade will see upgrading of radial routes and the creation of major new cross-London capacity in the form of Crossrail and Thameslink as well as the continued development of orbital routes and interchanges.
