Arriva Trains Wales to run extra services for Wales v England game

Additional train services will be made available for the Wales v Engalnd game at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 13th August 2011.

The game will kick-off at the Millennium Stadium at 14:30 and around 70,000 fans are expected at the stadium. Train services are expected to be very busy.

A queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central station after the match and Queen Street station will be closed as usual after 16:30 p.m.

Simon Turton, Special Events Manager for Arriva Trains Wales said:

“Additional services have been added and significant additional capacity will be provided to ensure the transportation of fans to and from the game.”

Due to the location of this event, services to Maesteg will be departing up to six minutes earlier from Cardiff Central, Pontyclun, Llanharan and Pencoed after 17:00.
