Listen to this article

Derby-based LOBO Systems has completed the rigorous approval process to supply London Underground and Tubelines in the UK. LOBO manufactures a unique access platform system utilising its patented clamp, which allows the system to be assembled, mobile or static, without the use of tools into any size or shape, for safe maintenance in awkward to access areas.

The construction manager has pronounced that the LOBO System meets LU’s stringent safety regulations following the granting of the approval, and has been instrumental to LOBO’s success.

He can foresee the product becoming best practice at the London Underground. “I am part of the London Underground Innovations Team and we identified the LOBO System as a safe and labour saving product. The LOBO System will be used extensively on escalators and other awkward application areas through the underground system. I am delighted that the LOBO System has successfully completed the LU approval process.”

Robert Bokros the LOBO Systems MD, who has been working on the London Underground approval process says: ‘I am delighted our system has been approved, it will make a huge difference to our company, secure jobs and allow us to sustain our growth projections for 2014. LU has been identified as having a huge potential market for our scaffolding system and we intend to provide a high-quality engagement”

LOBO intends to work closely with LU to ensure product deliveries, training and ongoing technical support is maintained to a very high standard. Now the LOBO System has LU approval, LOBO will market the product to other overland and underground rail companies.
