ScotRail expands Flexipass routes with enhanced savings

Listen to this article

ScotRail has announced the expansion of its Flexipass product to include more routes across Scotland’s Railway.

Following recent enhancements that offer customers even greater value, the rollout of new routes is part of the train operator’s ongoing commitment to providing flexible, convenient, and cost-effective travel options for customers.

In response to valuable feedback from customers and staff, new Flexipasses have been introduced for the following stations:

  • Exhibition Centre (Glasgow)
  • Anderston
  • Motherwell
  • High Street (Glasgow)
  • Charing Cross (Glasgow)
  • Perth
  • Stirling
  • Bathgate

It follows the introduction of an additional two journeys on Flexipass in September 2024. Flexipass tickets allow customers to enjoy twelve journeys for the price of ten, offering an impressive saving of 32 per cent compared to six Anytime Day Return tickets.

Flexipass tickets are valid over a 60-day period, making them the ideal option for hybrid workers, regular commuters, and those travelling the same route frequently.

Customers can take advantage of the savings quickly and easily by purchasing Flexipass tickets as mTickets via the ScotRail app. With mTickets, there’s no need to queue at the station – tickets are available instantly on mobile devices, offering convenience from the comfort of home or on the go.

ScotRail is working on plans to further expand its Flexipass product in 2025.

Claire Dickie, ScotRail Commercial Director, said:

“ScotRail is committed to improving the travel experience for our customers, and the enhanced Flexipass product reflects our dedication to flexibility, value, and convenience.

“Flexipass tickets provide discounted travel for regular routes, offering flexible and affordable options for commuters and frequent travellers. By expanding Flexipass routes and enhancing the product with additional journeys, it provides even more savings and convenience for those who travel regularly across our network.”
