More than 90,000 discounted rail tickets for journeys on the Greater Anglia network are on sale from as little as £3 as the Great British Rail Sale gets underway today.

From 19 April to 11.59pm on 2 May, customers can save up to 50% off selected advance tickets on thousands of journeys across the whole of the UK including the Greater Anglia network.

Customers can now travel to destinations including London, Cambridge, Southend, Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich from just £3 one-way. Railcard customers will also be able to save an additional 1/3 off a discounted ticket, providing the railcard discount is eligible on the chosen journey.

Rail sale prices on the Greater Anglia network are:

  • Norwich to London Liverpool Street – £5
  • Cambridge to London Liverpool Street – £4
  • Sheringham/Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft to London Liverpool Street – £6
  • Ipswich to London Liverpool Street – £5
  • Colchester to Norwich – £4
  • Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street – £3

Tickets must be for travel between 25 April until 27 May 2022, and they must be bought a minimum of one day before the date of travel. Tickets are available to buy online only.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial, Customer Services and Train Presentation Director, said: “Customers travelling across East Anglia can now save up to 50% on advance tickets. There is only a limited number and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

“The Great British Rail Sale is a great opportunity for people to explore all East Anglia has to offer – there is so much to see and do. Take a trip to London to soak up the sights, visit one of the many wonderful coastal destinations or explore a new town or city.

“There are even more savings to be had with a railcard. Railcard customers will be able to save an additional 1/3 off a discounted ticket providing the railcard discount is eligible on the chosen journey.”

Great British Rail Sale tickets are valid only on the date and train shown on the ticket or for the journey and train company booked. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis but are not limited to one per person.
