Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded Thales the contract to supply the signalling equipment for an extension of the Red Line.
The contract was awarded by the Alstom-led Expolink consortium that is delivering the 15 km extension. The line will branch off the existing Red Line at the Nakheel Harbour & Tower station and serve the World Expo 2020 site.
As well as supplying the new line, Thales will modernise the Red Line’s existing signalling system.
