Alstom has completed the overhaul of 27 Arriva Trains Wales class 175s which entered service in 2000.

The overhaul programme began in July 2010 at Alstom’s Longsight depot in Manchester.

The works to the trains included a major bogie overhaul and overhauls of the cooler groups, auto couplers and gangways.

In addition, each set had the underframe writing reworked and an interior refresh including new seats and carpets.

Attention has now turned to overhauling the float of bogies for the class 175s.
