On the 28th May, a team of four will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for “The Railway Children.” The route covers nearly 1000 miles and we will do the trip in 9 days covering approximately 110 miles per day.

The team consists of Gary Lincoln (TXM Recruit), Patrick Verwer (Go-Ahead Rail), Simon Pitt (TXM Projects) and Jeremy Sprigg (Rail Door Solutions).

They have been in full training since the start of 2011, putting in the miles on a weekly basis either on the road at the weekends or in the gym during the week. The team say they “are committing our time and efforts not to see the marvellous countryside in UK but we aim to raise over £20,000 for this fantastic charity which is very close to everyone working within the Rail industry.”

The Ombros Group, made up of Rail Door Solutions, TXM Recruit, Albatros UK and RailCare Limited have already committed to generous corporate sponsorship.

The team are inviting corporate sponsors to join them on this epic journey by sponsoring a day and hopefully joining them for a day in the saddle. Sponsors will get their own shirt, a framed shirt and photo after the event plus more importantly they get to support “The Railway Children”.

For more details please contact Kerry Bradley on [email protected] who is our event organiser.

Or sponsor the team via the website.
