SNCB’s H&S Container Line offers additional rail links between the Upper Rhine region and the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam

H&S Container Line, a member of  SNCB Logistics, specialise in cargo transportation between rail and sea. Due to their customer’s demand for such a service, they will be providing extra trains providing more containers. This means that customers will have the option of transporting their containers from the Rhine region in Germany to the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, or vice-versa.

In cooperation with IFB, the operator and manager of intermodal terminals, H&S Container Line have increased the frequency of round trips between Antwerp & Strasborg and Antwerp & Ottmarsheim. Through this initiative, more containers can be transported between the Rhine region and the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, it also opens up prospects for Swiss clients.

Heiko Bruckuer, Managing Director of H&S Container Line, has said, “We have always believed passionately in the power supply of a combined transport between train and barge. Our customers appreciate the quality and environmental aspects of our transportation solutions.”
