Vossloh expects to sell its Rail Vehicles business in the coming months following “accelerated” talks with potential buyers.
Announcing its third-quarter results, Vossloh said that its Rail Vehicles division had “discontinued operations”.
Vossloh’s Transportation business, excluding rail vehicles, recorded a 35.4 per cent increase in sales in the first nine months of this year. This positive trend is expected to continue, with the opening of a new production facility in Kiel, Germany, in mid-2016
The Transportation division’s results mirrored a positive performance for the group as a whole, which saw revenue increase by 6 per cent to €867.9 million.
Hans Schabert, chairman of the executive board at Vossloh AG said: “We are satisfied with the course of the third quarter 2015. Vossloh’s recovery is becoming clearly visible.
“We have also taken a significant step toward achieving our goal of selling the Transportation division. Further, the stable development of sales and earnings, which is in line with planning over the course of the year, gives us the confidence that we will achieve our operational planning for 2015.”
