Vital Rail Security awarded ‘significant’ contract by Network Rail

Since Vital Rail Security won a place on Network Rail’s Framework Contract for Manned Security Services, the company has been waiting for the first ‘mini tender’ to be issued.

In July this year the first tender was issued to the three framework contractors and Vital Rail Security submitted a proposal.

It was announced last week that Vital Rail Security has won a contract which will see Vital Rail Security staff protecting a Re-Signalling project between Shrewsbury and Crewe between November 2011 and June 2012.

This is a ‘significant win’ for Vital Rail Security as they have won the first security contract issued under the framework and demonstrated that their strategy, management plan proposal and policies and procedures are seen by Network Rail to be ‘over and above that’ of their competitors.
