Work is due to start this summer on a new €30 million wheelset maintenance workshop at NedTrain’s Haarlem depot.

The new facility will have the capacity to overhaul 3,000 bogies a year, according to NedTrain’s parent company NS, and will create 100 jobs.

The project represents a significant investment in the Haarlem site, which is principally used by NS for major rolling stock refurbishment and overhaul projects.

The workshop is due to open in 2018.
