VGC Rail Projects have announced that they have been awarded the Civils Contract for the Stourbridge to Hartlebury Re-signalling Project with Atkins, the principal contractor for Network Rail.

The contract, due to start in August, is valued at £2 million and covers signalling work over 15 kilometres of track, including piled Signal Bases, URX and UTX’s, stagings, REB’s and level crossing renewals.

Following on from VGC’s signalling work at Nuneaton for Atkins, VGC Group Managing Director, Laurence Mc Kidd, said:

“The line and route work is similar to that successfully undertaken at Nuneaton.

“We will approach the contract in a collaborative manner, working closely with Atkins.”
