Union suspends Amey Rail strike plans

Rail union RMT has suspended planned strikes at rail infrastructure contractor Amey Rail.

Members were due to take industrial action between September 29 and September 30 before receiving an improved offer from the company.

On Tuesday, an Amey Rail spokesman said: “We aim to be an equitable employer and our focus is on achieving the long-term aims of the rail industry along with fair pay for our employees.
