Turnkey contract awarded for Taipei’s Sanying Line

The ARH consortium, which comprises Ansaldo STS, RSEA Engineering Corp. and Hitachi, has been awarded a turnkey contract for Taipei’s Sanying Line.

Ansaldo STS will supply a CBTC signalling and electromechanical systems, including the telecomms, platform screen doors, SCADA, depot equipment and automatic fare collection.

Hitachi will design and build 29 two-car metro trains for the line, which will run east-west from the MRT Blue line station in Dingpu to Yingge. The 14.29-kilometre elevated system will include 12 new stations and a depot.

Overseen by the New Taipei City Government Department of Rapid Transit System (NTCG DORTS), construction of the Sanying Line is expected to begin later this year, with completion slated for 2023.
