Sweden’s Trelleborg has announced the acquisition of Schwab Vibration Control as it looks to expand its anti-vibration and suspension solutions business.
Schwab Vibration Control supplies anti-vibration equipment to customers around the world, serving the construction, agriculture and ship building industries, as well as rail.
The acquisition will strengthen Trelleborg’s existing portfolio of anti-vibration solutions and will particularly support the company’s growth in the rail sector.
Max Billinger, business unit president of Trelleborg’s anti-vibration and insulation solutions operation, said: “We are thrilled about the acquisition.
“This is the latest addition to our business and will only act to strengthen our knowledge and product offering within the anti-vibration sector.
“The rail market continues to be an area of growth for Trelleborg and with the additional skills and capabilities Schwab Vibration Control will bring to our already solid market presence, we expect this to be further accelerated.”
Trelleborg expects to complete the acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2016.
