Thales has signed a new contract with RATP to install its CCTV solution on 1,000 additional buses and trams throughout Paris.

This latest contract, which has been co-financed by the city’s regional transport authority, STIF, builds on the 4,000 vehicles already fitted with Thales’ video capture technology.

Thales said: “These systems have a proven record of improving passenger safety and protecting property, acting as a deterrent to vandalism, assaults and antisocial behaviour on public transport.”
